On the one-year anniversary of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court's controversial decision recognizing same-gender marriages, this presentation will explore how same-gender marriage issues impact all employers — not only within Massachusetts — but across the nation. We will examine the impact of same-gender marriage in the areas of:

• Discrimination Claims

Our discussion will also examine the interplay and conflicts between federal law, which does not recognize same-gender marriage, and Massachusetts law, and offer practical tips for employers to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
