Genesys Announces New Paycard Option: The Latest Trend in Payroll Delivery

Alternative to Paychecks Streamlines Employer Processes and Gives Employees Safer, More Efficient Access to Funds

METHUEN, Mass. — April 29, 2003 —Genesys, a provider of software and outsourcing services for human resource (HR) management, payroll, and benefits, and learning management today announced the availability of My Cash Card, an optional paycard service for organizations using Genesys payroll software or outsourcing services. My Cash Card is specifically suited to organizations with dispersed workforces or significant percentages of employees who do not have regular bank accounts.

By issuing My Cash Cards, companies provide their employees with safer and more efficient access to monies earned. Each payday, employee pay is transferred to the employee's My Cash Card account and is immediately available for withdrawal at automated teller and debit machines across the United States. Employees do not have to pay the high check cashing rates typically charged by non-banking facilities. Should the paycard be lost or stolen, the employee's pay is protected since no withdrawal can be made without the employee's personal identification (PIN) code. My Cash Card can be used like any bank-issued debit card, making it easier for employees without credit cards and checks to transact day-to-day business.

Companies using the My Cash Card option save on costs associated with paycheck fraud, as well as the handling and administrative costs for lost checks. Since money is transferred to paycard accounts automatically each payday, the My Cash Card option also eliminates the time sensitivities related to the distribution of paper checks — a significant advantage for those organizations with dispersed and mobile workforces.

"To support our philosophy of putting service first, Genesys is continually seeking ways in which we can provide the latest advances to our clients to enable them to more efficiently and cost effectively serve their employees," said Judy Dukas, vice president of sales and alliances for Genesys. "My Cash Card offers significant business and employee benefits — a win-win for those companies managing dispersed workforces."

The My Cash Card option, offered in conjunction with Money Network, is priced according to a variety of factors, including number of employees using the card and number of transactions. For more information, contact Lori Reyna at (978) 685-5400 or lreyna@genesysHCM.com.
