METHUEN,
Mass. February 4, 2003 Genesys, a provider of software and outsourcing services for learning
management, human resource (HR) management, payroll, and benefits,
announced today that NetBank, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTBK), parent company
of the country's first commercially successful Internet bank,
NetBank® (www.netbank.com),
has selected PeopleComeFirst Learning for learning and competency
management.
PeopleComeFirst Learning gives NetBank the ability to centralize learning and professional development for the 2,000 employees of the diversified financial services company. PeopleComeFirst's ability to support a wide range of e-learning content - from financial-specific courseware to IT training, its competency management strengths, and its soon-to-be introduced performance management tools were among the primary selection factors.
After the initial introduction and rollout of the LMS to the entire NetBank enterprise in early March, the PeopleComeFirst Learning implementation will then be a strategic tool used in the launch of a new mortgage application which will be used by NetBank's wholesale mortgage lending subsidiary, RBMG, Inc. Web-based PeopleComeFirst will be used to access, track, and manage the new product training to 900 employees throughout RBMG.
"As a technology-oriented company, we strongly believe in the power and efficiencies of Internet-based learning," said Kim Holcomb, e-learning project leader for NetBank, Inc. "E-learning gives us the ability to bring a wide variety of training to employees across the country more quickly and cost effectively than with traditional classroom-based instruction. We can also rapidly address strategic training requirements, such as the rollout of our new mortgage application."
"The Genesys vision for integrated learning, competency, and performance management matches our corporate strategy for employee development," said Brenda Mechling, director of performance support for NetBank, Inc. "PeopleComeFirst will help us ensure our employees have the learning opportunities and performance feedback required to meet their own personal career goals, as well as the competencies required for their jobs."
PeopleComeFirst Learning incorporates rich functionality and flexibility for competency management, as well as tracking and managing all types of training, including e-learning courseware, corporate libraries, leader-led training, seminars and conferences, and virtual classrooms. Training resources can be directly related to the competency requirements identified for specific jobs or classifications of employees. PeopleComeFirst Learning can also perform detailed cost tracking and cost allocations, as well as highly flexible scheduling and registration procedures. A new add-on module for performance management, PeopleComeFirst Performance, which will include 360-degree assessment, is planned for market introduction later this year.
"We designed PeopleComeFirst Learning specifically for ease of implementation, configuration, and integration because we believe these are critical factors in total cost of ownership and rapid return on investment," said Steve Munini, director of advanced technology for Genesys and chief developer for PeopleComeFirst. "Given NetBank's technology orientation, its evaluation criteria were especially rigorous. We're very pleased to have been selected for this mission-critical implementation."
