September 5, 2002 Genesys, a provider of software and outsourcing services for, human resource (HR) management, payroll, benefits, and learning management, today announced the introduction of the Genesys Tax Filing Service, a comprehensive payroll tax filing service for all employers. The service is available immediately. All tax filing services will be processed at the Genesys data processing center, located in Methuen, MA, which features extensive security, backup and redundant systems.
The Genesys Tax Filing Service supports all local, state, and federal tax jurisdictions within the United States and its territories. The service also handles school district taxes, occupational privilege taxes, and special assessments at the city and county levels.
"Many organizations are recognizing that the staffing required to keep up with changing tax regulations just isn't an astute resource investment," said Larry Munini, president of Genesys. "As a result, more and more organizations are looking to outsource tax filing and other non-core business functions. The Genesys Tax Filing Service includes all facets of payroll tax processing, including:
- Collection and consolidation of tax data from all corporate locations.
- Deposit of federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
- Preparation and filing of all payroll tax returns.
- Ongoing legislative research to monitor changing tax regulations for local, state, and federal jurisdictions.
Costs for the service are determined by the number of tax jurisdictions, size of the payroll, and number of federal employer identification numbers (FEIN) used by the organization. The filing service can be used in conjunction with any payroll package or payroll vendor.
