Genesys History

Founded in 1981, Genesys has a strong history of bringing innovation to human capital management (HCM) solutions. Genesys was early to recognize the needs of the banking industry which wanted to retain its commercial clients by offering an array of services including payroll processing. The Genesys payroll solution provided this market with a solid, reliable tool to grow this segment of their business. Genesys went on to offer its own full range of outsourcing solutions based on the skills and knowledge acquired from serving this market. Genesys continues today to provide clients with the delivery method that best fits their business needs. Deployment options include traditional outsourcing, full-service business process outsourcing and licensed software - all based on the same powerful foundation.

Technology has been a key tool for Genesys - used wisely to deliver a low cost of ownership to clients. Genesys was first to market with a thin-client architecture that ensured high performance. This made it possible for Genesys to deliver web-native solutions as well, further improving performance and bringing clients choice in how their system is deployed.

Quick to spot trends in human capital management, Genesys introduced the industry's only competency-based Learning Management System (LMS) in 2001. Building on learning and competencies, Genesys introduced performance management capabilities in 2003. Industry thought leaders, such as Brandon-Hall, have heralded the Genesys LMS as the only one that demonstrates a true human capital management philosophy.
