Dataquest reviews Genesys GENExpress™ announcement On September 1, 1998, the IT Services Program of Dataquest Incorporated — a Gartner Group Company — issued a Vendor Analysis "Perspective" report on Genesys, and GENExpress in particular. The report, authored by Dataquest analyst Allie Young, says that GENExpress "will enable companies to rapidly deploy a fully-configured human resource management solution (HRMS) at their site." The Dataquest analysis mentions the GENExpress flexibility for integrating with outsourced service components, along with the option for GENExpress clientele to later migrate to a fully outsourced solution. The report also reviews the background — including the exclusive 17-year Genesys focus on HR, payroll, and benefits computing solutions — which Genesys brings to offering the GENExpress solution for mid-sized user organizations. Included in this background is the wide variety of Genesys product and service offerings, from WEBServe self-service to FULLSource and ONESource outsourcing. "Technology-based business process outsourcing solutions," mentions the author, have particular appeal to those organizations seeking to focus on core competencies and to "gain access to world-class processes via a business partner" (such as a full-service outsourcing provider). The conclusion of this report by Dataquest's Young says that Genesys has "an exclusive focus on providing human resource solutions" which will ease the challenge of "growing its brand name recognition in the business process outsourcing market."
