METHUEN,
Mass. July 9, 2002 Genesys, a provider of software and outsourcing services for learning management, human resource (HR) management, payroll, and benefits, announced today an integration and referral partnership with WageWorks®, the leading provider of health, dependent care and transportation spending account programs. As a result of the agreement, those companies using the Genesys web-based HRMS applications or services can maximize the benefits of WageWorks' CommuteEssentials and FlexEssentials, products used to manage employees' pre-tax accounts for health, dependent care and transportation.
When used together,
the WageWorks products and Genesys payroll modules provide for efficient
management of payroll deductions required for the pretax accounts. Employees
set up pretax accounts through either CommuteEssentials, which manages
work-related transportation expenses such as parking and transit fares,
or FlexEssentials, which manages flexible healthcare and dependent care
pretax accounts. Information is then sent to the Genesys payroll module
to set up pretax payroll deductions.
"Genesys has been a leader in HR-related systems for many years and works with a long list of blue-chip companies," said Jon Kessler, CEO of WageWorks. "We're pleased to have the opportunity to work with Genesys clients to expand their benefits offering to employees."
"The versatility of our HRMS System gives us the ability to work with partners such as WageWorks," said Larry Munini, president and CEO of Genesys. "WageWorks has demonstrated ongoing market leadership in providing products to take advantage of potential employee tax savings. We believe they will add real incremental value to many Genesys clients.
